I write today with an appreciation for the team members of Dukes Memorial Hospital who as a part of the Lutheran Health Network help make our community a healthier, better place to live and gratitude for patients who choose our hospitals for their care. The impact of Dukes Memorial within the Lutheran Health Network of care adds up as the skilled and compassionate hands of physicians, nurses and other team members deliver safe, quality care around the clock every day. Last year, patients received the medical care they needed through more than 83,000 interactions with our hospital and physician clinics as the pandemic heightened the need for medical care.

Employees and medical staff brought their skills and compassion to support 10,000 emergency department visits, more than 1,000 inpatients, 800 surgeries and 100 babies delivered. And more than 71,000 patients received care through outpatient facilities, including Lutheran Health Physicians primary and specialty care offices in our area.
