The Manchester boys’ and girls’ soccer teams each clinched outright Three Rivers Conference (TRC) titles on Wednesday evening with wins over Miami County rivals.

At Good Fields in Manchester, the girls’ soccer team put forth a dominant effort in a 3-0 win over Peru to earn its conference crown.

The Squires allowed little from the Tiger attack on the night but struggled at times to produce chances of their own. Emma Garriott gave the Squires its lead just shy of 14 minutes in, toe-poking a cross from Lainey Shock past the keeper.

Manchester would not add another goal until moments before the first half whistle as Beletu Stout latched onto a through ball from Alexa Donathan before cooly slotting past the keeper to double the hosts lead.

The two-goal lead would carry through halftime and the early stages of the second half before Garriott grabbed her second, finishing an unassisted goal effort through the keeper’s legs for the third goal of the night.

From there, the Squires saw out the game, limiting Peru’s attack all night at keeper Kindra Stetzel needed to make just one save on the night.

Manchester finishes the TRC season with a perfect 6-0 record, allowing just one goal across the six contests while scoring 17. The Squires finish the regular season 14-1.

The boys’ soccer team, meanwhile, fittingly finished off its TRC run with one last dominant win, routing North Miami on the road 7-0.

The Squires pushed five past the Warriors in the first half, including seeing Harley Kruschwitz notch his 100th career goal in the opening 40 minutes. The senior forward scored three total on the day, bringing his season tally to 43. Caleb Stout scored twice and Dyson Rosen and Michael Ortiz each scored once.

Kruschwitz assisted two goals while Stout, AJ Fortman and Jackson Austin chipped in an assist each.

The Squires dominated the TRC from start to finish this fall, finishing with a 6-0 record while scoring 51 goals and allowing zero. Wednesday’s shutout is the eighth of the season for Manchester.

The win improves the Squires to 15-0 on the season overall.
