Asbury Country Church

At the Sunday, Aug. 11 service at Asbury Country Church, Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. and the Worship Service will be at 10:30 a.m. The worship leader will be Amy Bullick. The music leader will be Mel Hoover. On piano will be Roger Marine. The morning message will be “How Do We Forgive” from Mike Bullick, Pastor.

Christ United Methodist Church

On Sunday, Aug. 11 worship services at Christ United Methodist Church, 477 N Wabash St., are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m. Pastor Chris Tiedeman’s sermon is from Hebrews 11:1-16 titled “Status Quo, Relevance and Faith.” Check us out at wabashchristumc.org or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ChristUMCWabash/.

Dora Christian Church

A neighborhood yard sale with free outdoor spaces will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Dora Christian Church, just west/southwest of the Salamonie Dam and just north of Dora Road. Participants must provide their own tables and electricity. Lunch will be available. Non-clothing donations are still being accepted. For more information, please call 260-782-2006 or 260-571-2812.

On Sunday, Aug. 11, there will be a worship service at Dora Christian Church in Lagro. The minister will be Mark Wisniewski, the song leader will be Olman Sanchez, the pianist will be Sherry Brock and the organist will be Kristy Good. The Message for the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services will be, “Covering God with our Love,” from Psalm 100. The Communion Table will be served by Scott Hendrry and John Troyer. Children’s Church at the 10:30 a.m. service will be led by Brooke Swope and Holli Good.

First Church of God

On Sunday, Aug. 11, there will be a worship service at First Church of God, 525 N. Miami St. In the 10:30 a.m. worship service, Pastor Rensberger’s sermon is titled “Where Do You Go for ... Joy?” Servants will be: Nancy Kolb, chairperson; Chris Sands, worship; Chris Sands, special music; Rose Sands, organ; and Mark Kline, piano.

First United Methodist Church

At the Sunday, Aug. 11 service at First United Methodist Church, 110 Cass St., worship services will be at 8 and 10 a.m., with a coffee hour following the later service. At the 8 a.m. service, the prelude will be played by Kathy Geible, and the opening prayer, scripture reading and children’s message will be by Pastor Nathan Whybrew. At both the 8 and 10 a.m. services, the scripture will be Philippians 2:12-22. The sermon series will be “Rejoice” and the sermon will be “The Joy of Stars.” At the 10 a.m. service, the opening prayer and scripture reading will be by the Derek Palmer family, the children’s message will be by Sue Gray, the prelude will be by Susan Vanlandingham and special music will be by the Rod Morrison. Roann United Methodist Church

At the Sunday, Aug. 11 service, the church service at Roann United Methodist Church will be at 9 a.m., and Sunday school will be at 10:15 a.m. Greeters will be Dale Abell and Eric Scholes. Worship leader will be Doug Bogert. Pastor Balmer’s sermon is from Matthew 13:-1-9 titled, “The Sower.” It will be Noisy Bucket Sunday.

South Pleasant United Methodist Church

South Pleasant United Methodist Church, 5064 W. 1400 North, North Manchester, will hold their their Ice Cream Social at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. The church is located 3 miles south of Silver Lake on Indiana 15. There will be homemade ice cream, pies and hot dogs. Entertainment will be provided by God’s All Community Choir.

Walk By Faith Community Church

At the Sunday, Aug. 11 service Walk By Faith Community Church, Roann, Sunday school will be at 9 a.m., and the worship and children’s worship will be at 10 a.m. The youth pastor will be Jody Tyner. Our greeters for this Sunday will be Larry and Nancy Meyer and Rick and Kamela Duff. Pastor Greg Wilburn will be sharing the message with us. We invite all to come and worship with us.
