MCS to hold school registration event

Staff Report

Manchester Community Schools will host a centralized registration from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 in the Manchester Junior Senior High gymnasium, according to a press release.

Registration is required for all students and should be completed by the parent or guardian. Parents will be able to apply for lunch and student textbooks.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients should bring their cards.

Parents are reminded that textbook rental fees are due at the time of registration. If that is not possible, payment arrangements are available.

Parents of kindergartners and new first- through third-graders will also have an opportunity to sign up for the Wabash Promise.

Textbook fees by grade level are:

Kindergarten: $100.28

First grade: $102.69

Second grade: $118.48

Third grade: $146.45

Fourth grade: $230

Fifth grade: $236.61

Sixth grade: $243.50

Manchester Junior-Senior High School fees are dependent upon the classes which are taken.

Lunch prices for each school are as follows:

Manchester Elementary School: $1.45 for breakfast, $2.50 for lunch and $0.45 for a snack or extra milk.

Manchester Intermediate School: $1.55 for breakfast, $2.55 for lunch and $0.45 for extra milk.

Manchester Junior/Senior High School: $1.55 for breakfast, $2.70 for lunch and $0.45 for extra milk.

For all buildings: Reduced price breakfast is $0.30 and reduced price lunch is $0.40.

Please note that the first day of school for students is Wednesday, Aug. 14.
