Honeywell Ladies League results

The Ladies League of Honeywell had their first scramble on Tuesday with the team of Lana Garber, Jane Mann, Marie Coffman and Jane Hentgen winning the four-person event with even-par 36. The three-person event was won by Mary Jo McClelland, Shirley Walter and Phyllis Downey with a one-over 36.

Next Tuesday will be a play your own ball, chip-in event. The next scramble will be the following week on June 18.


Etna Acres League results

At the Etna Acres Senior Men Scramble on Tuesday morning, the team of Paul Schroeter, Lee Richards, Clyde Smith and Jim Myers won with a score of 35. Second place was Bob Clabaugh, Jim Karst, Jim Kuhens, Dave Banter. Closest to the pin was Al Pilkins and Schroeter at holes No. 12 and No. 16, respectively. Roy McCarty had the longest drive at hole No. 10 and Jess Dyer at hole No. 14. Richards had a chip-in at hole No. 16.



Scramble for Shriner's Hospital set for June 12

Etna Acres will host a scramble event for Shriner's Hospital on Wednesday, June 12. Teams may enter for $30 per person with $25 of that going directly to Shriner's Hospital. Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, a light meet and a chance at individual prizes. Those interested may call the clubhouse.


Wabash Little League results

In National League action on Tuesday, the Wabash City School A's knocked off the Crossroads Bank Red Sox 11-1, led by a double from Coleson Kugler. The Miller Home Furnishing Blackhawks downed the Wabash Hardware Giants, 9-8, in the second game. Korbin Haupert knocked in an RBI single for the Blackhawks.

In the American League, the Ford Meter Box Tigers beat the Al Zimmerman Pirates, 12-4, to remain unbeaten on the season. Jaxon McCollum had a pair of hits while Sarah Bever pitched a complete game for the Tigers.
