Peru takes TRC title at Rozella

Peru captured the Three Rivers Conference boys’ golf title at Rozella Ford Golf Course in Warsaw on Saturday, carding a round of 329, finishing 15 shots ahead of Maconaquah and Rochester as each tied finished with rounds of 344.

Manchester placed fourth with a round of 354, Southwood was seventh with a 404, Wabash was eighth with a 409 and Northfield was 10th with an incomplete team.

The Squire duo of Harley and Owen Kruschwitz earned All-Conference honors on the day, carding rounds of 77 and 81, respectively, to finish inside the top 10. Tippecanoe Valley’s Cade Brouyette finished with a round of 73 to pace the field.

Klayton Hendrix finished with a 93, Mathias McLaughlin a 103 and Konrad Borgmann a non-scoring 104 for the Squires.

For Southwood, Logan Arnold led the way with a 94 while Carson Heath and Ket Baldwin each had rounds of 100. Baron Hedrick rounded out the scoring with a 110 and Adam Spaulding had a non-scoring 113.

Wabash was led by Asif Khan’s round of 87. Blayze Shemwell carded a 95, Andrew Dinkins a 107, Wyatt Davis a 120 and Taylor Coffman a non-scoring 134.

Northfield’s Toby Baer also earned All-Conference honors, taking fifth overall with a round of 81. Quentin Dale and Keaton Stout had rounds of 112 and 115, respectively, for Northfield.

All four Wabash County sides will return to Rozella Ford in just under three weeks for to take part in the sectional.
