Staged by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association with support from the Indiana High School Athletic Association, the Underclass Showcase events are designed to give exposure to approximately 200 of the top basketball prospects (about 100 boys and about 100 girls) from across the state to colleges across the state and nation.

The showcase featured an all-day agenda that included three sessions of games with workout stations as well.

Last season for the Apaches, Daughtry averaged a team-high 16.9 points with 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.6 steals in 23.5 minutes per game. As a sophomore, Daughtry shot 40 percent from the field while hitting a team-best 129 field goals on the year. Daughtry’s best performance came in the Wabash County Tournament against Manchester in the opening game. In a double overtime battle, Daughtry poured in 35 points on 11 of 20 shooting from the field. Daughtry added nine rebounds, six steals and one assist in the game to help the Apaches earn a spot in the Wabash County Tournament championship game.

The lone double-double in the season for Daughtry came in a 62-53 loss to Mississinewa in which he poured in 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

On the season as a whole, Daughtry finished with seven 20-point games. The guard also had 10 games with either seven rebounds or seven assists.

After the season, Daughtry earned All-Conference honors while also being named an IBCA/Subway Underclass All-State Honorable Mention.
