On Wednesday, June 13, the Plain Dealer inaccurately reported that a local woman had pleaded guilty on June 4 to charges of dealing methamphetamine and heroin, when in fact the woman has not pleaded guilty because she did not attend her plea hearing on that day.

The reporter made the mistake after seeing a court entry for "guilty plea" in the docket for Elizabeth Griffith, who is facing multiple charges including counts of reportedly dealing meth and heroin. Griffth was scheduled to attend a plea hearing on June 4, but she did not show and never submitted a plea. Her case has been reset and will go before a jury in October.

The Plain Dealer regrets this error.
