Hole-in-one at Honeywell Golf Course

On Tuesday, June 5, Tom Miller recorded a hole-in-one on hole No. 16 at Honeywell Golf Course. The hole was approximately 138 yards and Miller used a 9 hybrid to achieve the feat. The shot was witnessed by Ed Burris, Al Baillieul, Jim Hudkins and Fran Hendrickson. It was Miller’s fourth career hole-in-one.

Etna Acres results

At Saturday’s Jr. - Sr. Tournament at Etna Acres Golf Course, a nine-hole tournament, winner for the 14-and-up age group was Karson and Greg Baldwin with a score of 59. In the 11-13 age group, Drayson and Car Pace took first with a 46. In the 10-and-under age group, Jacob and Chris Vandergrift took first with a 55.

The next Jr. - Sr. tournament will be June 17th at 2:30 p.m. This is open to any junior 17 and under.

Wabash Little League results

In Wabash Little League action on Saturday, the Mattern Dental Cubs downed the Lundquist Real Estate Red Sox 13-3. The Todd Adams State Farm Dodgers knocked off the Sarah Mast-Terrell Real Estate Group 15-4. In the final game of the day, the Bott Mechanical WhiteSox outlasted the Brian Mallow State Farm Indians, 16-15. 

Supreme Court won’t get involved in Wrigley Field dispute

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is leaving in place a court decision dismissing a lawsuit filed against the Chicago Cubs by the owners of rooftop clubs adjacent to Wrigley Field.

Skybox on Sheffield and Lakeview Baseball Club sued the Cubs in 2015, arguing in part that a right-field video board the team was adding would block their views of the ballpark and violate terms of a 2004 revenue-sharing agreement.
