Area seniors participate in annual Senior Games

An air of friendly competition pervaded the Dalas L. Winchester Senior Center here Thursday, as the facility hosted a part of the annual Area Five Council on Aging Senior Games.
The games are sponsored by the Area Five Council on Aging, with responsibility over Wabash County, and Cass, Fulton, Howard, Miami and Tipton counties. The senior center here is a function of the Wabash County Council on Aging, a United Fund Agency.
Through the district, games were going on this week, Tuesday through Friday.
Thursday's events in Wabash, after free continental breakfast and opening ceremonies, included the predict walk, the softball throw, the bean bag toss, dominoes, euchre, darts and a water-balloon toss.
The bowling competition throughout the district, on Tuesday, was in Peru.
Today, the concluding events drew all competitors to Logansport, for miniature golf, Bingo, and bocce ball. A victory banquest at midday will cap the activities.
