Manchester man's death is under investigation

NORTH MANCHESTER - The early Friday morning death of a North Manchester man remains under investigation by the Wabash County Coroner's Office and North Manchester Police.

Pronounced dead at Wabash County Hospital was Derek G. Sadler, 18.

The request for medical assistance at a residence in the 700 block of North Sycamore Street here was received at 11:03 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said Sadler was unresponsive as lifesaving efforts were performed en route to Wabash County Hospital.

North Manchester police said two other people at the same residence (not identified in the report) were also transported to Wabash County Hospital.

Police and coroner's office said a cause-of-death pronouncement for Sadler will await toxicology reports.
