Hugh Raymond Waymire, 69, rural Wabash, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006, at his home.
He was born on June 25, 1936, in Richvalley, to Vernon and Velma (Marks) Waymire. He married Jean Hetzler on June 27, 1959, at Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. She survives.
He graduated from Noble Township High School in 1954 and was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1954 to 1958. He was a retired truck driver, driving his last 12 years for Triple L of Wabash. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ.
Also surviving are two sons, Hugh R."Duke" (Jennifer) Waymire II, Wabash, and John V. Waymire, Wabash; two grandsons, Ethan P.M. Waymire and Derek J. Waymire, both of Wabash; four sisters, Virginia Buuck, Fort Wayne, Janet Hammond, Wabash, Judy (Dick) Losher, Richvalley, and Karen (Scott) Cooper, Wabash; three brothers, Vernon "Bud" (Martha) Waymire, Akron, Tom (Bette) Waymire, Eaton, Ohio, Don M. (Gerry) Waymire, Springfield, Va., and a sister-in-law, Gale C. Waymire, Victoria, Texas. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert D. Waymire.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash Chapel. Solomon David will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
There is no visitation.
Preferred memorials are to the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.

Garth Alan Eppley, 25, Bloomington, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 1006, from injuries he suffered in a plane crash.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1981, in Wabash, to William "Bill" and Laura (Bailey) Eppley, who survive in Wabash.
Mr. Eppley was a 1999 graduate of Wabash High School. He graduated from Anderson College in 2003, with a degree in music performance and was a student at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.. He attended Giest Christian Church, Fishers, and was a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America, Yankee Beamers and Rounders No.7.
Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Richard and Elda Eppley, LaFontaine; maternal grandfather, Robert S. Bailey LaFontaine; a brother, Miles (Missy) Eppley, Indianapolis; a sister, Heather Hutchinson, Gas City; two nieces, Caroline Hutchinson and Dana Hutchinson, both of Gas City; aunts and uncles, Terry and Pam McKee, North Manchester, Doug and Donna Barton, Marion, Curt and Malina Eppley, Manassas, Va.; and Susie Earhart, Wabash.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lee Bailey, and an uncle, Rick Eppley.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at LaFontaine United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Barton officiating. Burial is in LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery, LaFontaine.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel.

Arleava M. Johnson, 90, 1315 Webster St. and lifelong resident of Wabash, died at 10:38 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2006, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 29, 1916, to Forrest and Mazie (Derck) Snapp. She married Russell A. Johnson on May 5, 1943. He survives.
A graduate of Chippewa High School, Mrs. Johnson was a member of First Christian Church, Wabash, where she was active in the Woman's Circle. She was retired from First National Bank, Wabash. She also was a member of the Wabash County Hospital Auxiliary, the Wabash Elks Club, and Kappa Delta Phi sorority, Wabash.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sharon Smith, New Haven; a brother, Rex (Wilma Jean) Snapp, Richvalley; two grandchildren, Michael Barcher, Fort Wayne, and Dr. Serena Smith, Austin, Colo. A brother and one great-grandchild are deceased.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at McDonald Funeral Home Eddingfield Chapel, with Pastor Ron Zorn officiating. Burial is in Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the chapel.

John D. Kline, 68, North Manchester, died at 7:15 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2006, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
He was born on March 1, 1938, in Mexico, Ind., the son of Herman and Bertha (Lesley) Kline.
He married Connie E. Nordman on Nov. 5, 1960. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jon A. Kline, North Manchester; a daughter, Amy J. Kline, North Manchester; three brothers, Robert (June) Kline, Mexico, Frank (Betty) Kline, Peru, and Charles Kline, South Bend; four sisters, Mary (Clayton) Applington, Kokomo, Doris Fisher, New Haven, Rosie (Charles) Stout, Peru, and Barbara Burns, Tallahassee, Fla.
He was preceded ind death by three brothers.
Mr. Kline was employed at the North Manchester Foundry for 36 ears, retiring as a crane operator in 1996. He was a volunteer fireman with the North Manchester Fire Department for 15 years. He also was assistant sexton at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, for six years.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26.

Accidents
The Wabash County Sheriff's Department investigated these accidents:
- About 6:30 a.. Friday on Ind. 13 south of County Road 950S, a vehicle driven by James Brewer, 58, rural LaFontaine, struck a deer, sustaining about $4,000 damage.
- About 6:55 p.m. Thursday on America road at County Road 250S, a vehicle driven by Joshua Hodson, 16, Lagro, struck a standing vehicle driven by Stephanie Helsel. Total damage was estimated at $7,500.
Arrests
Wabash police arrested the following people on warrants on April 23:
- Wayne Sadler, 20, 52 Berry St., with two counts of failure to appear.
- Mark Easterday, 31, 66 E. Maple St., with failure to pay and on a writ of attachment.
- Ryan Taylor, 26, and Brandy Black, 25, 218 E. Main St., Apt. 2, with possessing marijuana.
